Streetwise Terms & Conditions
Upon enrolling with our school, all pupils will be given an appointment card bound by the following terms and conditions.
The pupils are responsible for ensuring that the card is brought to every lesson and that the instructor keeps it signed and updated.
- All pupils must have a British Full or Provisional driving licence or a valid international driving permit.
- The driving instructor takes no responsibility for any loss, damage or theft of pupils’ property.
- The instructor retains the right to cancel any enrolment and repay any money paid in advance within 30 days of cancellation.
- The instructor can cancel or transfer any booked lessons at short notice. This is usually due to ill health, a short-notice driving test, or inability to reach the pupil in time due to traffic.
- The instructor will wait no longer than 10 minutes for a pupil to arrive late for a lesson. After that, the lesson will be cancelled, and the full fee will be forfeited.
- All lessons must be paid for in advance.
- If a pre-booked lesson is to be cancelled or rescheduled by the pupil, 48 hours notice is required via phone call or text. Failing this, the fee paid in advance for the lesson will be forfeited.
- Any application for a refund of money paid in advance for lessons must be made within 30 days from the date of the last lesson. Claims for payments made in advance will only be considered if the instructor logs and signs on the appointment card.
- Any application for a refund of money paid in advance for an intensive course or block booking must be made within 14 days before the course’s start date.
- If, for any reason, a lesson from an intensive course or a block booking is not taken and a refund is required, the remainder of the lessons may be refunded, but the lessons taken will be charged at the regular price, not the discounted price.
- The instructor retains the right to withhold the use of the school car for a driving test if the instructor feels that the pupil has not reached the required standard.
- The instructor retains the right to withhold the use of the school car for a short-notice driving test if the instructor feels that the pupil has not reached the required standard. All fees must be paid in advance and will still be chargeable.
- The school retains the right to change any discounted offer without prior notice.
- If the driving school or instructor’s car becomes unavailable for a pre-booked driving test, the school and instructor will endeavour to obtain another vehicle to ensure the pupil can take the test. If a car is unavailable and the pupil cannot take the test, the school will pay for another test, one driving lesson, and the car’s cost. No cash alternative will be paid even if the pupil uses another driving school or another instructor who is not with Streetwise.
- Non-Streetwise Driving School customers mean you would have to have taken a minimum of 10 lessons to qualify as a Streetwise Driving School pupil, or if your test is less than seven days after contacting us to inform us of your test.
